Based on research findings and recommendations, and owing to our experience in the field, EDUCART Handwriting course has been designed to offer students ample opportunities to practice writing words they use every day -- all two-letter words, words for days, months, numbers, family names, and more. High frequency words and sight words introduced in their reading material are also reinforced through tracing and handwriting practice. Relevant language and topics make students feel more confident in doing the activities thus focusing on legibility.
The Kindergarten book includes a section on fine motor skills and patterns and starts with readiness skills. Letters are first finger-traced, then traced, and copied. Numbers, lowercase letters, and uppercase letters (in that order) are introduced and practiced. Books progress sequentially through letter formation, word formation, and then sentence formation with special writing projects. Lessons typically include a review of letter formation, practice, review, evaluation, and editing.
